Detailed Recipe (Bombay Biryani)

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 500g chicken or mutton
  • 2 onions (sliced)
  • 2 potatoes (optional, cubed)
  • 2 tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Tabani Bombay Biryani Masala
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2–3 green chilies
  • Whole spices (bay leaf, cloves, cardamom)
  • Fresh coriander & mint
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Steps:

  1. Soak Rice:
    Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes.
  2. Fry Onions & Potatoes:
    Heat oil, fry onions until golden. Remove half for layering. Fry potatoes lightly and set aside.
  3. Cook Meat:
    In the same oil, add whole spices, then add meat and cook until slightly browned.
  4. Add Base Ingredients:
    Add ginger-garlic paste, tomatoes, and cook until soft.
  5. Add Yogurt & Masala:
    Add yogurt and Tabani Bombay Biryani Masala. Mix well.
  6. Cook Meat Fully:
    Cover and cook until meat becomes tender.
  7. Boil Rice:
    Cook rice separately until 70% done.
  8. Layering:
    In a pot, layer rice and masala, add fried onions, potatoes, coriander, and mint.
  9. Dum Cooking:
    Cover tightly and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
  10. Serve:
    Gently mix before serving and enjoy hot.
