Pavbhaji Masala is the heart of Mumbai's iconic street-food dish. A tangy, buttery, mildly spiced blend that transforms mashed vegetables into a flavorful bhaji served with soft pav.
Ingredients:
• 4 potatoes (boiled)
• 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrot, cauliflower)
• 2 onions (chopped)
• 3 tomatoes (chopped)
• 1 capsicum (chopped)
• 3 tbsp Pavbhaji Masala
• 4 tbsp butter
• 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
• Pav buns & lemon
• Salt to taste
Recipe Steps:
• Heat butter; sauté onions, ginger-garlic, and capsicum.
• Add tomatoes and cook till mushy.
• Add boiled vegetables, masala, and salt; mash well.
• Cook 10 minutes until thick and rich.
• Toast pav buns in butter.
• Serve bhaji topped with butter, onions, and lemon.
